My career began standing long hours in front of a drafting table, the smell of melting wax and magic markers filling the air. (Ugh!!) Today, I sit in a comfortable chair, the soft whir of a hard drive in my ear, and the smell of coffee in the air. Things have changed.

The t-square, pica rulers, rapidograph pens may all be put away, but the value of the experience gained from doing things "the old way" has helped shape my professional values and determination (those rapiodgraph pens taught me patience in a way nothing else never can!).

As I sat in front of my Mac Plus with it's 4" monitor, my hard drive loaded with version 1.2 of PageMaker and MacDraw I knew that the way I designed was changing, I just never realized how big those changes would be.

Today, with a large screen monitor, high-speed Internet connection, an extensive list of print and interactive design projects behind me, I can say with that my professional road has been a long and engaging ride. I've designed everything from ads, newsletters, brochures, exhibit displays, packaging, web sites and interactive projects for multi-national Fortune 500 companies and mom and pop businesses. I'm an equal opportunity designer!
