Sometimes good customer service can have even more benefits than returning customers. In our online business, Osmun Gifts, if people complain about a product that they purchased, we refund the money. No argument, no return. It is just not worth it. Sometimes, we ask for a photograph to be emailed or texted but not always. Recently, we had a customer complain about the finish on a product, we refunded his cost fully. The customer then returned half of the money to us. I am not sure if it was guilt on his part or not, but we received half of the money back.

I agree with all you say! It is sad how companies exploit these vulnerable 3rd world designers....and how desperate the all seem to get a "win"
