When lunch was awesome.

Does anyone else remember the era of the cool, metal lunch box? Any cartoon, movie, tv show, etc. that a kid was into inevitably would crank out a lunch box right around “back to school” season. And even though they were metal and lasted a good long while, you’d still beg your mom to buy you a new one all the time.

I remember some kid at my elementary school had a Battle Star Galactica one and I wanted it so bad. Instead, mom bought me Universal Monsters. That was okay, but I still secretly wanted that kid’s Battlestar Gallactica one.

I think I might have had a total of 6 of them then a couple of the plastic ones in the later 80s. Those of course were not as cool at all.

Here’s some more fun, vintage lunch boxes.
